Lucy Grosse, Social Worker, MSW U.Chicago, Yale University

My husband, Michael, and I are truly proud to endorse our dear friend, Bill Lam, for Livingston Township Council on June 2, 2026.

We have been close with Bill and his wife for more than 30 years. She and I have been friends since junior high. Even though we moved from Livingston to the suburbs of Philadelphia after living there from 1994 to 2001, our friendship has only grown stronger over the years. What keeps us connected is the same genuine community spirit and kindness they have always shown, the kind that makes Livingston feel like home.

Bill is a lifelong Livingston resident who raised three children here, and you can see his deep love for this town in everything he does. His passion for robotics is inspiring: he created and co-leads the American Robotics Open Championship, and for the past several years Michael and I have had the privilege of volunteering as judges. We have watched firsthand as Bill mentors dozens of young people, coaches robotics teams, and helps kids build real confidence and skills in STEM. It has been wonderful to see the difference he makes in their lives.

That same wholehearted commitment and energy carry over into everything Bill loves. You will find him mountain biking on local trails, riding his one-wheeler board with real skill and joy, playing pickup pickleball games at the courts, or enjoying touch football on Sundays with other residents. He is also the proud, active dad who would be found always cheering and filming at his younger daughter’s lacrosse games.

With his background in sales, Bill brings practical problem-solving skills and a quiet steadiness to whatever he takes on. But above all, he is someone who truly listens, shows up, and cares, qualities that make him such a natural fit for the Township Council.

In a community that values excellent schools, strong youth programs, recreation, and tight-knit neighborhoods, Bill stands out as someone who will serve with energy, heart, and dedication to families.

We hope our former neighbors in Livingston will join us in supporting him on June 2, 2026. He will be an accessible, thoughtful council member who always puts Livingston’s families first.
