I am honored to offer my enthusiastic endorsement for William Lam as a candidate for the Livingston Township Council. Over several years as both a friend and a fellow volunteer, I have witnessed William’s unwavering commitment to your community. He grew up in Livingston, is a long-term resident and has been involved with Livingston for many years and knows it well. His dedication is not just a campaign promise, it is the foundation of his daily life.

Livingston thrives on the strength of its families and the excellence of its schools. William has played a pivotal role in this foundation through his concrete achievements. He even continued running programs at the Livingston Robotics Club for years and after his kids graduated he remained on as an advisor. 

As the founder of AROC (American Robotics Open Championship), William has demonstrated exceptional leadership, initiative, and organizational skills by running a national-level robotics championship for 3rd through 8th graders. He has provided our children with valuable STEM skills and instilled in them the confidence to solve complex problems and compete in front of large audiences. 

William’s impact extends far beyond his professional and nonprofit work. He is a true “community architect.” By organizing local pickleball groups and assembling teams for sporting events, he brings residents together and builds lasting connections. In an era when local government can sometimes feel remote, William’s ability to foster inclusive and active networks is invaluable. He recognizes needs within the community and rallies both resources and people to address them. 

William has consistently demonstrated integrity and honesty in all his endeavors. He is an honest leader and creative thinker who is always the go-to person for innovative and practical solutions. His technical expertise and ability to communicate complex ideas in everyday language will make him a trusted advisor to fellow residents. I believe William is uniquely qualified to address the issues facing Livingston today, including:

• Enhancing Community Programs: His experience with youth sports and STEM education ensures he will champion high-quality recreation and educational opportunities.

• Fostering Volunteerism: He understands that Livingston thrives when residents are engaged, and he will work to make it easier for all of us to contribute to our town’s success.

• Prudent Initiative: Running a successful nonprofit requires fiscal responsibility and strategic planning, skills that will serve our taxpayers well when navigating the township budget.
