 I am proud to be supporting Bill Lam in his campaign for Livingston Township Council. I first met coach Bill through robotics, where he served not just as my coach, but as someone who truly believed in the potential of every member on the team. As a former member of Exit 5A Robotics for over 5 years, Coach Bill has been a mentor who deeply invests his time and energy helping students excel. Whether it was helping us navigate through difficult challenges or keeping his basement open for hours so we could work, Coach Bill never simply handed us the answer. Instead, he pushed us to think critically and discover solutions ourselves. He has taught me resilience, collaboration, and confidence in my own ideas, no matter how crazy it may seem. Additionally, Coach Bill has a natural ability to bring people together. I’ve seen this through his ability to organize robotics competitions, coach multiple teams simultaneously, and his involvement in town events with the robotics teams. He has created spaces where people felt welcomed and excited to participate. His energy and commitment strengthened the robotics community in Livingston and inspired many students, including myself, to pursue our passions. Coach Bill’s dedication, problem-solving mindset, and genuine care for the community are what made him an amazing coach, and these same qualities will make him an effective member of the Livingston Township Council.
